Fragrance Belles-Lettres Personalized Stationery

These are three different designs just completed for Felicia who is the editor of the  blog: www.fragrancebelleslettres.blogspot.com
Felicia kindly offered very useful information as to the design influences she preferred, the colors she would
like for her stationery, and a few very nice design ideas.  I used all of the information Felicia offered as the framework for these three designs.

I like the simple sophistication of this first design.
All of these cards are 5 x 7 folded note cards in creme.
Each note card comes with a same color blank envelope.
The sets of cards and envelopes are $1.45 each.

Felicia offered two different logos that she admires for me to use as inspiration.
The first is the logo that the Plaza Hotel uses to identify their business.  A very nice crest.  The second, the logo used for the Laduree labels on their confection packaging.  I'm hesitant to "copy" another's logo, because first it is wrong as far as copy rights are concerned.  But, more importantly, I think any business is better off to find it's own distinctive voice and identity.

This is the inside with the Fragrance Belles-Lettres blog address.  I think placing this additional information
on the front of the note card added a bit to much to the overall design.
I also realized after taking these photos that Felicia's blog address does not include the hyphen.
So, the inside blog address of these designs would need to be corrected before completing this project.

Here is the second design for Felicia to consider.  These are all in gold, with the crest or emblem design a soft black layered with a gold saturation on top.  Very rich looking.
This design is a little more feminine and has a combination of two fonts.  One block, and the other a script font.  I like the font combinations

This is a close-up of the second design

Felicia wanted to see Gold and Lavender in her design, so I sampled this card with a Lavender color included in the monogram design.

Here again is the inside blog address for Fragrance Belles-Lettres.
This would have to be corrected before completing.

This third design is a bit more whimsical.
Felicia wanted to see a crown over the logo design.  But, while working with these designs I considered that the designs themselves were too elaborate for the addition of a crown.  I created this design specifically to be able to include a crown in the design.
Again, I used two different fonts.  A script and a block font.
On each of these designs the block font used on the card's front is also the block font used on the card's inside for the blog address.  Too many fonts begins to look haphazard, but two fonts seem to be just right.

Here is a close-up of the third design.

The inside with the Fragrance Belles-Lettres blog address.
The correct blog address is www.frangrancebelleslettres.blogspot.com.
I truly enjoyed working on these designs.

Bridal Offer to Pass Savings to your Friends

This is an offer for all previous or current Ink Stationery Studio or Wedology clients.
I want to offer you an opportunity to help your friends save on the cost of their wedding.
It doesn't matter if you are a previous or current Bride, a Groom, or Mother of the Bride - you all have the opportunity to help your engaged friends save!
I've been in the business of working with brides for over four years now.  Helping to plan and organize their weddings, designing and developing their wedding suite stationery, or working with some brides at the very last minute to design a wedding program, a menu, or any of the many paper items needed to help pull their wedding together.  I have truly enjoyed every minute.  And, I have a very good understanding of all of the costs associated with putting together a bride's wedding day.  So, I have decided to offer my clients a way to help their engaged friends save.
Any past or current client can refer an engaged friend that contracts Ink Stationery Studio to design and develop her wedding suite stationery.  In return I will offer your friend 100 save-the-dates, and 100 matching addressed envelopes for free!  Up to a $250 retail value.
It's a "Do-Good" thing to help your friends.
Tell your friends to let me know that you referred them.

Baby Christening Invitation

Baby John's Christening Invitation
I love the idea of a very traditional Christening invitation.
After all, this is one of those very special pieces of stationery that you will
tuck away into one of your baby's albums or scrap books.
This Christening invitation is traditionally worded, and includes the parent's home address
for the reception.  Also, includes a R.s.v.p. number for invited guests to reply.
The card stock is white, and the font is a deep navy blue.
Sorry, I am still trying to improve my photography skills.
Click on the photo to see better details.
These are $2.25 each, and come with the same color blank envelopes.
Let me know what you think.

What to do with R.s.v.p. Slackers

Brides ask me frequently for the best way to handle invited guests who do not respond by the deadline date on their R.s.v.p.  First, I say "Shame on people who don't have the courtesy to respond to your invitation."  Second, I tell the bride that she will have to make phone calls and gently request for those slackers to offer their verbal response.
When I prepare a Response Card for a bride I count backwards approximately two weeks from her wedding date, and use that date as her response date.  That gives her another week to make those phone calls to the people who have not responded, and the week before her wedding to prepare her final guest count for her caterer.  That's really the entire point of a Response Card.  So you and your family and any other hosts of your event are able to be well prepared to entertain all of your guests.
One way to make certain invited guests respond -  add a stamp to the return envelope you provide along with the Response Card.

Lisa's Wedding Suite Stationery

Here are samples for Lisa to review of her wedding suite stationery.  Lisa's wedding decor colors are Turquoise and Tangerine.  I love the combination of these two exuberant colors.
The card stock is a very nice weight soft creme color.
I am sadly, not  a fabulous photographer.  But, I do try.  Please, click on the photos to see more detail.

Lisa's Wedding Ceremony Invitation.
There are about a gazillion ways to word a wedding invitation.
Here, we have Lisa's parents as the hosts of the event.
Names of the Bride and Groom
And a very kind inclusion of the names of the groom's parents.
The date, the time, and the location of the ceremony.
With a nod to the reception at the conclusion.
Dimensions: 5 x 7
These invitations are $2.25 each and come with an equal number of same color blank envelopes.
I am glad to address envelopes for an additional charge.

This is one of my favorite response cards.
I like the rounded corners, and the romantic R.s.v.p. slightly angled at the corner
with the swirly design underneath.
Dimensions: 3.5 x 5
R.s.v.p.Cards are $1.45 each with blank same color envelopes.
I am glad to address for an additional charge.

Lisa's Reception Card.
The Reception Card is included in the invitation mailing, as is the R.s.v.p.
Adding the Reception location and address to the wedding ceremony invitation would
be messy and confusing.  But, this charming little Reception Card does the job-and adds a great bit of color to the whole wedding suite.  Plus, the square design adds a nice design element.
Dimensions: 4.5 x 4.5 square
Reception Card $1.50 each
An envelope is not needed with this card.

This wedding suite also includes (but not shown) a Save-the-Date Card, Ceremony program, Reception Menu, Escort Cards, Place Cards, Table Numbers, and Personal Stationery for the Bride and Groom too use to write their Thank You notes for all of the beautiful gifts they receive.
Let me know what you think.

Envelopes for John Trawick's Professional Stationery

These are photos of John's envelopes to use with his professional stationery suite.
A return address is a very nice finishing tough to any stationery piece.
The fonts and colors used are identical to the ones used on the stationery pieces.
Please let me know if any changes need to be made.

John's Professional Stationery

John is a golf professional working for FarmLinks Golf Club in Sylacauga, Alabama.
These are two samples of professional stationery I'm working on for him.
I did a little research before I began preparing these samples for John, and was truly amazed at all of the education and experience that goes into earning the professional designations found on the different PGA logos.

This is the inside of this note card.  John kindly provided his signature to include as part of the design.
I recolored his signature to match the deep blue color of the PGA logo on the front cover of his note card.

This is the second sample design for John's note card.  Here I only included his name, and moved his professional designation to the inside of the note card.

This is the inside of the second design sample.  All of the fonts on both note card samples are prepared in the same deep blue color as the PGA logo.  I like the crispness of keeping to one substantial color-especially on a professional piece.  Also, these samples are printed on a very nice weight soft creme card stock.  The creme card stock is lovely for these colors.  See if you can notice the envelope underneath the note card samples.  I've prepared the envelope sample using the FarmLinks physical address, using the same font and color as the note card.  This truly completes the professional  presentation needed with this type of note card.
Let me know what you think.
